Job Position: Oil & Gas Project Manager 

Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Salary: N400,000 (negotiable)

Work hours: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm (Monday – Friday)

Location: Victoria Island

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client (a leading Energy Procurement and Construction Company in the Oil and Gas Industry) is in search of a meticulous self-starter with knowledge on how to analyse, organise and manage teams and projects within the Oil and Gas Industry. The Project Manager is expected to have experience managing projects in the Oil & Gas Sector particularly as a project manager on civil engineering projects in remote areas.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Planning and managing civil work projects following standard project management principles with consideration of time, cost and quality of deliverables
  • Managing manpower schedules for engineering deliverables
  • Conducting due diligence prior to project commencement
  • Ensuring that all deliverables, whether software, hardware, processes, products or business change are fit for purpose, meet all relevant requirements and are effectively transitioned to support and business-as-usual
  • Ensuring project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
  • Developing technical and commercial specifications for contracts, review technical proposals, organize general tender processes and manage contractor performance
  • Identifying, mitigating and managing the risk on the assigned project
  • Determining appropriate revenue recognition ensures timely and accurate invoicing and Monitor receivables for project
  • Continuously monitoring progress in terms of the status of the plan and the budget
  • Setting-up, implementing, and monitoring of the required contractual HSE Activities and programs for the entire site
  • Establishing forms and systems required to facilitate the flow of work within the department and with clients and vendors
  • Contributing to and monitoring project KPIs earned value and controls reporting
  • Proactively utilising web-based tools to ensure project deadlines are met and key objectives are measured and obtained
  • Providing quality control and Quality Assurance on all survey operations
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholder, understanding and managing their priorities

Requirements

  • A wealth of experience managing civil engineering projects in the oil and gas industry
  • Strong project management experience, demonstrating the ability to manage and prioritize a high volume of projects and activities
  • Excellent organisation and follow-through skills

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering or similar discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in project management in the oil and gas industry
