We are looking for a “Senior Product Category Specialist – E-Commerce” focusing on “Commercial Targets ( B2B & B2C )” to own multiple categories , identify targets, develop and attract business opportunities that contribute to the growth of our E-Commerce business and the business of our E-Commerce merchants. S/he will work actively on key commercial targets/engagements and projects leading from a B2C & B2B perspective taking ownership & growing categories in both target spaces. This will require a solutions-oriented mindset, a proactive approach and an understanding of the industry landscape and where the opportunities are for DP World within that landscape.
S/he will work closely with colleagues across the organization, including business units and regional offices, as well as Group functions such as IT, operations, finance and communications to deliver on their goals.
Execute the relevant category road map and targets. Build on the business plan with actionable items in order to deliver the business results.
Facilitate the commercial onboarding process through the final agreement by all parties
Communicate product status reports, assessing risk and new opportunities in each region.
Manage key relationships and ensure roadmap requirements are adopted and delivered.
Prepare strategic customer presentations and competitor screenings;
Identify customer needs and competitor solutions to drive new business opportunities and create disruptive experiences.
Conduct market analysis and opportunity assessment for current and future products aimed at maximizing revenues and margins.
Analyze the sales trends through the provided platform/reports and identify opportunities for growth. This can include monitoring site traffics and analyzing customer behaviors.
Support the Senior Manager when required by working with the marketing team to conceptualize digital marketing initiatives, analyze data, measure results and take appropriate actions.
Communicate and work collaboratively with the Senior Commercial Manager & corporate services (Finance, technology, marketing and legal) to gain alignment in achieving overall business goals.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of the E-commerce platform & communicate the changes needed to the platform to meet the end customer expectations in liaison with Group IT.
Manage vendor contracts/commissions and be the focal point with vendors in your respective categories.
Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s Founder’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
– Bachelor’s in sales, marketing or communications and/or related fields or equivalent.
– Proven track record of account management skills.
– Minimum 4 years of experience in similar position (Sales & Marketing preferred with E-commerce)
– Excellent analytical skills
– Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
– Team oriented, collaborative and able to effectively contribute to multiple projects with a high degree of accuracy and meet demanding timelines
– Ability to work independently, strong attention to detail, and a passion for driving process improvement.
– Experience presenting to Senior Management
– Relevant sales & marketing qualifications or experience with focus on commercial account management.
– Extensive experience with practices and techniques related to web merchandising or online retailing.
– Extensive experience in B2B/B2C cross-border commerce and related services.
– Operational knowledge of techniques required for market research and analysis.
– Sound knowledge of website management and eCommerce usability.
– Proficient with Microsoft office Applications, MS Access and others.
– Knowledge of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and Google Analytics tools for websites
